MYLAR HINGES
A great alternative to sheet protectors, mylar hinges (fig.
3) allow you to bind your images into your portfolio without
adding a layer between your prints and the viewer.
It is typical that a 0.25" to 0.5" gutter (the space
between the printed area and binding) be observed when mylar hinges
are used. Follow the steps below when attaching your print to
the mylar hinge. |
SPACERS
A spacer is a 3/4" wide strip of pre-drilled 1/32"
white cover stock. When filling your book with prints attached
to mylar hinges, we recommend interleaving each mylar hinge with a spacer. |

ICE NINE™ EXTENDER KIT
An Ice Nine™ extender kit allows the portfolio to expand or contract to accommodate
the desired number of pages. The kit consists of 0.25" and
0.125" extenders that can be added to your existing posts.
When the pages are flush with the top of the desired post, you have
selected the correct height. |
ARSENAL EXTENDER KIT
As with your portfolio, your Arsenal™ is made to expand to accommodate your book. Note that your portfolio should slide in and out of your Arsenal™ with ease, and be aware that it is quicker to expand the thickness of your Ice Nine™ than it is to expand the thickness of your Arsenal™.
Your extender kit consists of (26) 0.75” screws, and (52) black rubber washers. You will need an Phillp's head screwdriver and about 15 minutes to complete the expansion of your slipcase.
 |
|
step 1: use your Phillip’s head screwdriver to loosen your screws from the top of your Arsenal™
step 2: disassemble and ad black rubber washers to each side of your coupling until desired size is achieved.*
step 3: place the top back on top your newly expanded slipcase and secure the screws with your Phillip’s head screwdriver.
*use the 0.75” screws supplied to expand your Arsenal™ to its maximum capacity.
